Mining Engineering is the practice of applying engineering principles to planning, development, operation, closure and reclamation of mines. The academic curriculum is continuously revised to keep alongside of the industry needs as well as the vision and an all-round development of students, which is aimed through practical trainings, gas testing facilities, study tours, seminars, project works, organising internship trainings for all the students and a host of extracurricular activities. PEO1- To achieve the technical capability in the field of mining with all principled values and capable to be employed.
PEO2 - To gain knowledge about the availability and application of state of art tools viz., mining software, modern mining machineries, latest technologies, for their applicability in mining activities.
PEO3- To practice higher education to develop themselves continuously in both technology as well as supervisory sphere.
PO1(engineering knowledge)- apply the knowledge of mathematics , science, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
PO2(problem analysis)- an ability to identify and analyze a problem, and formulate complex engineering problems using principles of mathematics, basic and engineering sciences.
PO3(design/ development of solutions) – an ability to design, implement and evaluate a computer based system, process, competent or program to meet the desired needs for the appropriate consideration for public safety, societal and environmental issues.
PO4(communications) – communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with engineering community and with society at large , such as being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentations, make effective presentations give and receive clear instructions.
PO5 (project management and finance)– demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the engineering and management principles and apply those to ones work , as a member and leader in a team to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments.
PO6(Modern tool usage): Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
PO7(The engineer and society): Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
PO8(Environment and sustainability): Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
