Department of Mathematics and science of G.P.Jajpur was established in the year 2014. It comprises of subject- Engineering Mathematics, Communicative English, Computer application, Engineering Physics, Engineering Chemistry. Mathematics & science is the Foundation course of all the Engineering Branches .Science teaches us about the Laws of Natural world and mathematics, helps us to Establish relationships among the different quantities. Both subject are the paramount importance. If we are planning to study Engineering. To be Successful Engineer and enhance their careers. Communicative English plays a crucial Role. Mathematics and Science Provide a Method for organizing and Structuring Knowledge. So that when applied to Technology, it allows Engineers and Scientist to produce Systematic, reproducible and transmitted Knowledge.
To nurture knowledge and a clear understanding of basic science andmathematics in students and imbibe in them the professional strength and social, ethical and moral values to meet the requirements of thelatesttechnologytrend.
The department of math and science shall
Lay a strong foundation of the students in basic science and mathematics with the help of updated facilities.
Provide a platform for students to get acquainted with current development in science and technology.
Imbibe the students with a good communication skill, confidence, character and human values.
Provide latest teaching learning methods to meet the need of all evels of learners.
To acquire the ability to evaluate and solve a problem through application of mathematics and science.
To acquire the ability to understand the basic principles and their application in engineering and technology.

Po1-Basic and Discipline specific knowledge: Apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals and engineering specialization to solve the engineering problems.

Po3-Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems components or processes to meet specified needs.
Po4-Engineering Tools, Experimentation and Testing: Apply modem engineering tools and appropriate technique to conduct standard tests and measurements.
Po5-Engineering practices for society, sustainability and environment: Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability, environment and ethical practices.
Po6-Project Management: Use engineering management principles individually, as a team member or a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well-defined engineering activities.
Po7-Life-long learning: Ability to analyse individual needs and engage in updating in the context of technological changes.
